Green Pilot Program

sub

This program, which is generously funded by the Meyer Memorial Trust, offers grants to help integrate green and sustainable building practices which reduce costs for owners and tenants alike.

Installation of energy efficiency features and the use of low-toxicity finish material reduce water bills typically paid by owners, while lowering electricity bills for tenants.

Enterprise Community Partners administers the Green Pilot Program. The Program provides grant funds to help cover the costs of installing energy saving upgrades identified through the green building charrette process. The streamlined application process is simple and begins with a phone call to Enterprise.

Available to non-profit organization only

• Funding to pay for green building charettes. Charettes provide the basis for determining which energy-efficient measures should be included in a rehabilitation scope.

• Grants of up to $500/unit or $15,000/project to pay for hard costs associated with energy-efficiency enhancements and use of low-toxicity finishes. This subsidy is available to owners of permanently affordable rental projects that serve tenants who average < 50% of median income.

• Additional funding may be available to pay for follow-up studies that measure the efficacy of energy-saving measures once they are in place.
